What Does a Listener Do

As a listener on Listenly, your primary role is to provide emotional support through active, empathetic listening. You create a safe, non-judgmental space where users feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings.

  • Offer understanding and validation of their feelings
  • Maintain respect and appropriate boundaries
  • Create comfort for users to express themselves openly
  • Be non-judgmental regardless of what users share

Important: You are NOT providing therapy or medical guidance. Your role is to listen and provide emotional support through conversation.

How Conversations Work

One-on-one private conversations: All sessions are completely private between you and the user.

Communication modes: Users can choose text chat, voice calls, or video calls based on their comfort level.

Session duration: Conversations can last from 1 minute to 6 hours, depending on the user's needs.

Peak time availability: Being available during evening hours (7 PM - 11 PM) and weekends typically provides more conversation opportunities.

Technical aspects: The platform handles all matching, timing, and payment processing—you just focus on the conversation.

What Kind of Users to Expect
